Powders are simply an inefficient supplement delivery mechanism. However, the manufacturing process requires the use of binding agents to “glue” ingredients together and also involves “steam conditioning”, which is typically used to lower production. Research has shown that the high temperatures (176+ deg. Fahrenheit) involved with steam conditioning may reduce nutritional value of finished product*. This is of particular concern with conventional probiotics such as Lactobacillus Acidophilus; effective digestive support requires the delivery of live bacteria and our lab tests have proven that this strain simply does not survive above temperatures of approximately 150 degrees Fahrenheit. Be wary of anyone selling you “treat” probiotics!
